  • Salary $70,000-$95,000 depending upon experience and qualifications

 

WeaverTech is a rapidly growing civil-environmental engineering consultancy in the design and construction of large-scale waste and water management systems and industrial land development in British Columbia. Built on a foundation of safety, innovation, and quality, we provide turn-key solutions to our industrial and municipal clients.

 

We are looking for an Intermediate Civil Designer/Drafter, with a minimum of 5 years of experience AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and expertise in the design of stormwater, wastewater and sewer infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed civil drawings and models, supporting design teams throughout all project stages, and collaborating closely with Professional Engineers and client representatives. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed civil drawings, plans, and 3D models using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Provide technical support to project teams and clients

  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders

  • Abiding by relevant regulations, codes, and standards

  • Support construction and tender documentation, including quantity take-offs and design revisions.

 

Requirements

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Drafting from a recognized post-secondary institution

  • 5+ years drafting experience for civil engineering related job experience within North America, using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

 

Other desired skills and competencies include:

  • Experience with design and construction of multidisciplinary projects such as land development, municipal infrastructure, lagoons, lift stations, retaining walls, wastewater treatment, stormwater infrastructure, landfills, treatment facilities and sanitary connection services.

  • Familiar with CAD and modelling software such as lnfoWater, EPA SWMM, ArcGIS

  • Experience with Navisworks and Revit.

  • Exposure to topographic surveys and geospatial data processing.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • Superior and demonstrated verbal and written English communication skills

  • Self-driven time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management

  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment

  • Dedication to safety

  • Positive attitude and ability to self-motivate and work productively with minimal supervision.

  • Previous experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams

  • Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
